KarSki Backcountry Skis 200cm

KarSki snowshoes are Finnish-designed and precision-engineered to ensure optimal performance. They are ideal for winter cross-country skiing or hunting in Finnish terrain.

Hunting skis perform best when their optimal length, width, balance, and flexibility are in the right proportions.

KARSKI hunting skis are 200 cm long, which is the optimal length if you plan to use them in forested terrain as well. Skis that are too long make it impossible to turn in dense forest or brush. Skis that are too short, on the other hand, sink into the snow.

The KARSKI hunting skis have an extremely lightweight construction thanks to the CAP Foam structure.

KARSKI single skis weigh only 1440g, and with the separately purchased carrier spring binding, the total weight of the ski is only 1850g!

With these lightweight, 10cm-wide skis, the journey goes smoothly. The 10 cm wide ski provides better support than a narrower ski, and the tightly curved tip cuts through the snow surface.

The CAP Foam construction gives the ski stiffness but also the necessary flexibility for soft snow, allowing the tip to rise to the surface of the snow.

KARSKI The base of these cross-country skis features a groove running the entire length of the ski. The groove is a longitudinal groove on the base of the ski. The groove provides the ski with directional stability. Without good grip, skiing is truly challenging.

KARSKI The base of these skis features a 57 cm long grip pattern in the center of the ski. In normal conditions, the grip base provides sufficient grip without waxing. If necessary, the grip base can be waxed in difficult conditions. To ensure the wax adheres, the grip base area can be roughened with fine sandpaper (100-120) using light, circular motions.

KARSKI The glide of these skis can be improved by treating the glide base sections with glide wax, just as you would with regular skis. It is recommended to wax the skis at the end of the ski season.
