The Thermion Duo DXP ushers in a whole new era in the history of Pulsar hunting optics. This is the first commercial riflescope to combine the effectiveness of thermal imaging at any time of day with the comfort of full-color daytime vision. Thanks to the synergy of combining different technologies, the Thermion Duo’s image delivers enhanced high-information content.

This thermal imaging riflescope, the Thermion Duo DXP, is based on the best solutions and components used in Pulsar optics development, ensuring effective handling of the challenges of night hunting. Complete darkness, rain, and fog do not prevent the Thermion Duo DXP from locating game or revealing the most impressive antlers to trophy hunters. The 4K-resolution digital channel provides full color for daytime hunting.

4K daytime image sensor with a full color palette

The daytime digital channel clearly renders targets from as close as 10 meters. Using the Thermion Duo DXP as a daytime rifle scope is always easy and convenient, as the lens requires no focusing. The 4K-resolution CMOS sensor delivers exemplary detail and target recognition across the entire magnification range of 2x to 16x. Daytime hunting is not only enjoyable but also cutting-edge technology when using the Thermion Duo DXP. The full-color image characteristic of classic daytime optics is combined with extreme digital functionality. Hunters can capture an image at any time, adjust the reticle pattern and color, or connect the riflescope to a smartphone.

640x480 @ NETD < 25 mK - highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor

This highly sensitive sensor, manufactured in Europe with a NETD of < 25 mK, captures even minimal temperature differences when observing in low-temperature contrast conditions or in rain or fog. A resolution of 640 x 480 pixels ensures reliable target identification, high-quality visualization of an animal’s key anatomical features, and small details of the surrounding landscape. The sensor’s large size gives the Thermion Duo DXP a wide field of view for comfortable and informative observation of both static and dynamic scenes.

Fast thermal aperture F50/1.0

The potential of the highly sensitive sensor is fully realized in the thermal imaging channel thanks to the large-aperture F50/1.0 germanium lens. The thermal imaging channel ensures maximum detection efficiency for hunters in all weather conditions, at any time of day.

Advanced image processing: Enhanced detail, clarity, and contrast

The Thermion Duo utilizes modern algorithms to take image detail, clarity, and contrast to a new level. The thermal imaging channel, which uses a wide range of grayscale tones, is capable of rendering complex scenes containing uniformly radiating, low-contrast objects such as the sky, grass, or water surfaces. Enhanced details and software that sharpens objects at different distances produce a highly informative thermal image. Manually increasing the thermal imaging sensor’s sensitivity allows for improved animal detection quality if observation conditions deteriorate. A smoothing filter, along with brightness and contrast settings, ensures comfort even during long observation periods. The day channel provides ideal image detection in both sunny and cloudy conditions.

Combined multispectral viewing modes

The Thermion Duo supports four observation modes. The digital image mode is used during the day. Thermal imaging mode is designed for nighttime conditions and as a backup for difficult daytime conditions—fog, thick clouds, rain, oncoming or side sunlight, tall grass, bushes, and trees in view affect the ability to detect an animal and observe it comfortably. and clearly determine the characteristics of the trophy. The Thermion Duo’s “Picture-in-Picture” function allows images to be displayed simultaneously from both optical channels, prioritizing either the thermal or digital image.

1,800-meter thermal detection range day and night

The advantage of thermal imaging is the early detection of animals at any time of day. At night, it is the most effective way to find game from a distance. Thanks to high-quality long-focus optics and an extremely sensitive sensor, the Thermion Duo DXP sight offers excellent performance in the detection range—a 1.8-meter-tall target can be detected from a distance of 1,800 meters in complete darkness. During the day, the Thermion Duo thermal imaging channel helps locate game despite fog, mist, difficult terrain, and camouflage—whether in tall grass, behind bushes, or deep in the forest.

“One-shot alignment”

A single cartridge and the Freeze software function are sufficient to align both optical channels at the selected distance. After the shot, the rifle scope captures an image of the target, and the thermal imaging and digital channel reticles are adjusted to the bullet’s point of impact. The Thermion Duo DXP can be aligned using the base magnification or zoom, while the click value decreases in proportion to the zoom—at maximum magnification, the click value is less than 0.1 MOA. The reticle remains stable across the entire magnification range.

Highly accurate aiming in "Picture-in-Picture" mode

The "Picture-in-Picture" function allows the shooter to see a highly accurate zeroing reticle. Taking up only 10% of the total display area, the frame shows a magnified image of the target and reticle, allowing the user to view the image at close range within the aiming area while simultaneously controlling the entire field of view. In the Thermion Duo, images from different channels can be combined on a single screen, displaying the thermal image in a secondary PiP window while using the digital mode in the main frame, and vice versa. The classic Pulsar feature, "Picture-in-Picture," is also available, displaying a single-channel image simultaneously in the main and PiP windows.

Five separate shooting profiles / 50 aiming distances

Aiming settings are saved in the shooting profile. The Thermion Duo memory can store up to five shooting profiles for different types of firearms or ammunition. Each profile can hold up to ten aiming distances.

10 reticle types in nine color modes

The crosshair is displayed electronically in the same plane as the target. The Thermion Duo memory includes ten reticle configurations and functions (direct shot, ballistic, scaling, and standard), all available in nine colors.

Photo and video recording

Capture the best moments and share them with your friends and hunting buddies. A single press of a button is all it takes to capture an interesting moment or start recording a video. The 16 GB internal memory allows you to store several hours of video and tens of thousands of photos.

Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices

The built-in Wi-Fi module connects the device to Android and iOS-based smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This combination offers excellent features, such as wireless firmware updates, real-time image transfer to a mobile device screen, digital remote control functions, and many others. Users registered with the app are provided with cloud storage for photos and videos taken with a digital or thermal imaging device.

Enhanced WiFi connectivity with 2.4/5 GHz band support

In the Thermion Duo, the smartphone’s standard 2.4 GHz WiFi channel is complemented by a powerful 5 GHz band. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer speeds, interference resistance, and improved connection stability, leading to a more productive and easier-to-use thermal sight experience on your smartphone.

Mounts on standard 30 mm rings

The Thermion Duo offers visual appeal on all hunting rifles. From the outside, the riflescope resembles a classic daytime scope in a 30 mm mount. This design feature offers flexibility in mounting the riflescope on hunting rifles by utilizing proven ring solutions.

A selection of 8 color palettes at temperature

Thanks to the choice of eight color palettes, the user can observe the field of view more effectively, allowing them to optimize the unit for specific tasks and react to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for target detection. Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase the chances of identification and recognition. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are best suited for extended use.

Highly accurate bidirectional lens focus

The objective lens, featuring an internal focusing mechanism, delivers a clear and sharp image across any field of view. Ergonomic focus wheels are located on the right and left sides, making focusing easy for both left- and right-handed users.

Instant start-up

Just 4 seconds after pressing the power button, the Thermion Duo is fully ready for use.

Wide-angle eyepiece for comfortable observation

Observing with the Thermion Duo is easy on the eyes and allows the hunter to focus fully on the hunting process. The wide-angle eyepiece (29.5°) and the wide viewing angle of the HD-quality AMOLED display ensure comfortable image viewing and eliminate the pinhole effect by safely providing a 50 mm exit pupil.

Optimized uniform field of view for thermal and digital channels

The magnification of each optical channel ranges from 2x to 16x. Magnification changes either in 2x increments or continuously to set the ideal magnification ratio and field of view for specific scenarios. A major advantage is that the magnification factors and fields of view of the digital and thermal imaging channels align. This way, the hunter does not lose focus on the target when switching from one channel to another—the hunter sees the same target at the same magnification, just in a different spectrum.

Recoil resistance for high-caliber rounds: 12 Gauge, 9.3x64, .375H&H

Thermion Duo thermal rifle scopes are extremely shock-resistant and can also be used with larger rifles in calibers such as 9.3x64, .30-06, .300, .375H&H, etc., as well as with smoothbore and pneumatic firearms.

6-hour battery life on a single charge

The Thermion Duo is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4.9 Ah, and one removable with a capacity of 2 Ah. A single charge provides up to 6 hours of battery life, covering the active usage time of the riflescope. The embossed pattern on the removable battery case is designed to allow for precise location. This enables quick and reliable replacement of a depleted battery in complete darkness by touch.
