These skis are particularly agile in detailed, brush-covered, and densely vegetated terrain, but they also perform very well in open areas. The nimble Altai Hok snowshoes are easier to control on descents than traditional long backcountry skis. The ski’s effective grip pattern moderates speed appropriately without hindering glide. The snowshoes also feature steel edges similar to those on traditional downhill skis. For this reason, they hold their direction well even on icy slopes. The binding system is also well-suited for all types of footwear and provides excellent foot support. The binding is easy to adjust. The Pivot binding fits shoe sizes 35–47.5. No tools are needed to adjust the binding length.
