The backpack features both top and bottom main compartments. The zippered compartment at the bottom is ideal for smaller items such as shoes, etc., while the larger compartment at the top holds everything else. These two compartments can also be conveniently combined. The bottom compartment has a zipper; opening it gives you the full, unified volume of the backpack. There are also zippered side pockets on both sides, a mesh pocket on the back for small items, and a small map pocket.

The Commando backpack is reinforced with an internal aluminum frame. The aluminum frame stabilizes the backpack and keeps it ergonomic to carry even with a heavy load. The support frame is also completely removable if you don’t want to keep it in your backpack.

The main compartment’s lid flap features a small zippered pocket—perfect for keys—and two quick-release straps to secure it tightly. There are a couple of attachment points on the flap where you can attach additional hiking gear.

The main material of the backpack is heavy-duty 600D polyester fabric: It is water-resistant, does not generate static electricity, is tear-resistant, and fire-retardant.
