Product description

The BORNAGHI Extra Valle Tungsten and Steel Shot Mix shotgun cartridge is an exceptionally powerful shotgun cartridge in terms of shot impact! This lead-free cartridge is loaded with a 55% tungsten and 45% steel mixture. A sufficient amount of tungsten (18g) ensures effective range with 2.9mm pellets, while the large 3.05mm steel pellets support the coverage pattern and, combined with the tungsten, deliver intense stopping power.

The high-quality BORNAGHI E.V. Tungsten shotgun cartridge is a non-toxic and lead-free alternative that is gentle on the environment. An excellent choice for goose, fox, or roe deer hunting, where long shooting distances are a key factor.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR USE

Tungsten (Wolfram) shot is heavier than lead and steel shot, so it has greater penetration and penetration depth. Shooting ranges are up to half as long again compared to lead or steel. Always maintain a greater safety distance from fellow hunters when using cartridges loaded with tungsten shot. Tungsten is a hard shot material and may pose a ricochet risk when fired. Hard tungsten shot can cause barrel wear or scratches if barrel contact occurs. Before use, ensure that your firearm is compatible with steel shot; these cartridges are not recommended for use in firearms equipped with 3/4-choke or full-choke chokes. To achieve optimal pattern and minimize recoil, it is recommended to shoot with 1/4–1/2-choke chokes.

BORNAGHI is an Italian shotgun cartridge manufacturer founded in 1960. Franco Bornaghi initially began manufacturing cartridges for his own competitive shooting needs, but as fellow competitors noticed the high quality of the cartridges, he was able to quickly expand production into a business. Today, the company, which is celebrating its 65th anniversary, is part of the Chedditte Group, and the BORNAGHI factory in Livorno produces high-quality shotgun cartridges for hunting as well as sports and competitive shooting. The company’s diverse product range includes hunting and clay pigeon cartridges, slugs, and buckshot cartridges.
