Merger LRF XP35 Thermal Binoculars, highly sensitive 640x480-pixel thermal imaging sensor, high-precision laser rangefinder, Up to 7 hours of battery life on a single charge, replaceable battery
Classic design. Convenient size
The design of Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars is familiar from traditional daytime binoculars. They don’t take up much space, fit comfortably in your hand, and look great in addition to being highly functional. The device’s six function buttons are located on top, making them easy to use, and the most frequently used digital functions are just a single press away.

A comfortable viewing experience
The optics of Merger LRF thermal binoculars take into account the nature of human vision. The human brain is conditioned to receive visual information from two channels simultaneously. Therefore, viewing with both eyes is less tiring than peering with one eye. This makes it easier for Merger to distinguish small and faint targets than with monocular devices of similar technical specifications, especially in low-contrast conditions. The interpupillary distance of the Merger LRF’s eyepieces is adjustable between 63 and 74 mm to best suit each user.

High-precision laser rangefinder
Once you know the correct distance, you can also effectively assess other potential factors. The built-in laser rangefinder can determine and display the distance to objects with high precision (±1 m accuracy) from up to 1 kilometer away. Accurate distance measurement in either Single Measurement or Scan Mode helps you quickly assess the situation.

Highly sensitive 640 x 480-pixel thermal imaging sensor, NETD value less than 25 mK
Whether it’s rain, a snowstorm, fog, or the early morning after a cold night, Merger’s highly sensitive 640x480-pixel thermal imaging sensor (NETD <25 mK) detects even the smallest temperature differences, even in conditions with low thermal contrast. The thermal imager’s high 640 x 480-pixel resolution ensures that all objects in the field of view are displayed in as much detail as possible. The sensor’s high resolution makes even the smallest objects, such as branches, leaves, and animal body parts, appear exceptionally sharp and clear against the background.

Large, fast-aperture, germanium-coated F35/1.0 lens
The quality of the optics plays a major role in the performance of thermal binoculars, ensuring that image quality remains good even at the lowest radiation levels.
This extreme efficiency is achieved through the Merger LRF’s fast lens (F35/1.0) and super-sensitive thermal sensor. The Merger LRF offers users the best quality—a sharp, high-contrast, and highly informative image every time—even in rain and fog, when thermal contrast in the observed environment is at its lowest.
Even more powerful image enhancement algorithms
Merger LRF thermal binoculars employ a new approach: the best possible settings have been tailored for different applications and viewing targets to ensure that both the targets and their backgrounds stand out clearly. Merger LRF’s eyepieces guarantee perfect detail reproduction, which is important, for example, when counting antlers. The thermal image always remains clear regardless of varying weather and temperature conditions.
Two independently operating batteries. Up to 7 hours of runtime on a single charge
The Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: it has one internal 4 Ah rechargeable battery and also comes with a replaceable 3.2 Ah battery. A single charge provides up to 7 hours of battery life. The design of the replaceable battery makes it easy to insert, so swapping a dead battery for a charged one is done in record time and in pitch darkness by touch alone.
Long detection range
A powerful, high-resolution lens combined with a highly sensitive 640 x 480-pixel (17 µm pixel pitch) thermal imaging sensor delivers exceptional detection capabilities. A typical 1.8-meter target is visible from up to 1,350 meters away in pitch darkness.
2x–16x adjustable digital zoom
Up to 8x digital zoom facilitates focusing and target identification at longer distances. The zoom level can be adjusted either in 2x increments or continuously, allowing the user to fully customize the field of view to suit any given situation.
Stream Vision 2. Integrates with iOS and Android devices
Merger LRF’s built-in Wi-Fi module works wirelessly with Android and iOS smartphones and tablets via the free Stream Vision 2 app. This opens up a whole range of new possibilities, such as live video streaming to the web, wireless firmware updates, sharing content on social media, remote control, and free access to Pulsar’s own news feed. In addition, users who register for the app receive 16 GB of free cloud storage, where they can store material recorded on their device.
IPX7 water resistance rating
Whether it’s heavy rain, a snowstorm, or other wet conditions, the IPX7 water resistance rating ensures the device won’t let you down even in the wettest weather! The device is designed to function flawlessly even after being submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.
High-quality, shock-resistant magnesium alloy body
The Merger LRF is built for continuous and often rugged use. It features a sturdy and durable magnesium alloy body that is still lightweight. The body effectively protects the device’s internal components—especially its most critical part, the thermal imaging sensor—from impacts, drops, moisture, heat, and cold. The metal body also acts as a heat sink, dissipating waste heat generated inside the device (especially in the thermal imaging sensor), reducing noise, and keeping the thermal imaging sensor stable even during extended use.
Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity, supporting both 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands
By connecting your Merger LRF device to an Android or iOS mobile device using Pulsar’s Stream Vision 2 mobile app, this opens up a whole range of new possibilities, such as live video streaming to the web, wireless firmware updates, sharing content on social media, remote control, and free access to Pulsar’s own news feed. The faster 5 GHz frequency band enables smoother and more stable data transfer and reduces the wireless connection’s susceptibility to interference, which improves your thermal camera’s productivity and makes using it as a companion to your smart device even more enjoyable.
Wide operating temperature range (-25 ...+50 °C)
The Merger LRF’s chassis, power supply, optics, and electronics are all designed to operate even in extreme temperatures. The Merger LRF operates reliably and efficiently even at temperatures as low as -25°C.
Built-in video and image recorder
The Merger LRF features a built-in video and image recorder. The Merger LRF’s internal memory can hold hours of exciting video and thousands of your best thermal images. All you need to do is press a button to capture an interesting moment or start video recording. You can also transfer footage to your computer via a USB-C cable. Owners of Merger LRF thermal binoculars also get 16 GB of free cloud storage by registering with Pulsar’s own cloud service (Pulsar Cloud). All you need to do is install the free Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in to the service, and connect the device to your smartphone via Wi-Fi.
Full-color, freeze-resistant HD AMOLED display
The Merger LRF’s high-definition HD AMOLED display delivers a sharp, high-contrast, and colorful viewing experience, and AMOLED technology ensures a flawless, smooth high-definition image and power savings.
Eight color palettes
A selection of eight different color palettes improves visibility in various conditions, allowing you to choose the option best suited to each situation and viewing environment. Hot White, Hot Black, and Hot Red make it easier to detect target movement, while Rainbow and Ultramarine highlight temperature differences between targets and facilitate identification. Red monochrome, sepia, and violet reduce eye strain and are best suited for long-term night surveillance.
