#120 & #160: The through-type Bridger trap is a so-called instant-kill trap that causes the immediate death of the animal that enters it when triggered. Bridger 4 x 4 traps placed on the ground or in a protective enclosure over water are permitted for trapping mink, weasels, martens, ferrets, and squirrels. Traps placed on the ground, in trees, or even on the water must be set so that they do not pose a danger to humans or to animals other than those being trapped. By law, traps must be placed inside a protective structure. The diameter of the opening in the protective structure must not exceed 8 centimeters. By law, the traps must be maintained regularly.

The springs on these steel traps are heat-treated to ensure a long service life. The safety catches on this model, which is particularly suitable for beavers, are wide and stay securely in place. The attachment chain is designed to allow the chain to rotate freely without jamming at the joint.
