The NITEforce Phosphor-Bronze Brush is the best tool for removing the worst of the burnt-on carbon from the barrel of your firearm after the season is over. The NITEforce Phosphor-Bronze Brush features a standard 5/16-27 thread, allowing it to attach to almost any shotgun cleaning rod.

NITEforce cleaning brushes are made of a high-quality, durable phosphor bronze alloy. The alloy used in the brush material contains copper, tin, and phosphorus (1%). The material’s properties include good wear resistance, antistatic properties, and corrosion resistance. Additionally, its hardness is lower than the Vickers hardness of the gun barrel, so it does not wear down the barrel.

Make sure the brush matches the correct gun caliber and that the gun is unloaded. The Phosphor-Bronze brush attached to the cleaning rod should be pushed all the way out of the barrel and then pulled back toward the chamber to ensure the bristles last as long as possible. Once the carbon deposits have been removed from the barrel, clean any loose residue from the surface. If necessary, continue with other cleaning tools such as NITEforce cleaning foam, cleaning solution, and gun oil.
